Standard Vaccine Schedule at Pediatric Partners
This page lists the vaccines we typically give at various ages, as well as links to the Vaccine Information Sheets for each vaccine. The vaccines are offered in accordance with the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations at regularly scheduled well visits. There are additional well visits that are recommended even when there are no vaccines. Click here to learn the recommended ages for well visits.
Patients are required to follow our Vaccine Policy.
Below the tables, there is a list of hyperlinked vaccines to find the Vaccine Information Statements (VIS). There are translations for many languages if this is needed.
If you'd like to learn more about the infections we prevent, visit Immunize.org's information about vaccine preventable diseases.

RSV immunizations:
If an RSV immunization is given to the pregnant parent at least 2 weeks prior to delivery, the baby does NOT require the RSV antibody after birth. It is seasonal, so we will offer the immunization when available. Learn more on our RSV Immunization page.

Notes:
- After 6 months of age all children are encouraged to get yearly flu shots during influenza season. The COVID-19 vaccine situation is fluid. We believe that anyone who wants a vaccine should be able to get it and do recommend it for eligible patients.
- Starting January 2023 we are offering Vaxelis at 2, 4, and 6 months. This vaccine includes Hep B, DtaP, Hib, IPV. All ingredients in Vaxelis have been used for many years in other vaccines, but the combination into one vial allows for fewer injections. If babies started vaccination against these infections with other vaccine brands, they can complete the series with Vaxelis.
- The vaccine for pneumoccal protection (PCV) has been improved! The initial version covered 7 strains and was approved in 2000. The 13 strain version has been used since 2010, and the 15 strain version was recently approved for use in children. We started using Vaxneuvance (15 strain protection) in January 2023. This was again updated summer 2024 to Prevnar 20, a 20 strain protection!
- Meningitis:
- Meningitis ACWY vaccine information can be found on https://www.immunize.org/ask-experts/topic/menacwy/
- Meningitis B vaccine information can be found on https://www.immunize.org/ask-experts/topic/menb/
- All 11 to 12 year olds should get a MenACWY vaccine, with a booster dose at 16 years old. We use the MenQuadfi brand.
- The first MenB vaccine will be offered at 16 years. It can be given as a combination with ACWY if Penbraya is used or can be given separately with Trumenba.
- If someone's receiving MenACWY and MenB vaccines at the same visit, there are 2 options:
- Administer the individual vaccines at different injection sites
- Administer MenABCWY vaccine
- Meningococcal vaccination is recommended for other children and adults who are at increased risk for meningococcal disease due to immune compromise or travel to an endemic area, such as the Meningitis Belt in Africa. We use the MenQuadfi brand, which is licensed for 2 years and up. The health department can vaccinate high risk infants 2 months and up if needed.
- The Men B vaccine we offer is Trumenba - this is important because brands are NOT interchangeable. A second dose of Men B should be given 6-12 months after the first.
- Penbraya includes A, B, C, W, Y and uses Trumenba as the B component, so it is compatible with the 11 year vaccine we give.

Schedule: Subject to change based on vaccine shortages and other factors.
- Birth: HBV#1 (this is recommended even if a combination series will be used later), RSV
- 2 months: Vaxelis (VIS multi-dose) or the Vaxelis Fact Sheet ((DTaP-IPV-Hib-HepB), PCV, Rota, RSV catch up if needed and available
- 4 months: Vaxelis (VIS multi-dose) or the Vaxelis Fact Sheet ((DTaP-IPV-Hib-HepB), PCV, Rota, RSV catch up if needed and available
- 6 months: Vaxelis (VIS multi-dose) or the Vaxelis Fact Sheet ((DTaP-IPV-Hib-HepB), PCV, Rota, RSV catch up if needed and available
Seasonally for everyone 6 months and up: Influenza and COVID vaccines recommended - 12 months: Var #1, HAV #1, MMR #1
- 15 months: Hib #4, DTaP#4, PCV #4
- 18 months: HAV #2. Note: there must be 6 months between HAV doses. Please schedule the 18 month visit a minimum of 6 months after the 1 year visit. Catch up of missed vaccines if needed.
- 2-3 years: Catch up of any vaccines needed.
- 4-6 years: DTaP #5, IPV #4, MMR#2, Var #2 and any catch up needed.

- 16 years: MenACWY #2 and any catch up as needed. The first MenB vaccine can be given as a combination with ACWY if Penbraya is used or ACWY can be given separately without MenB (Trumenba) (see above for details).
- 17+ years: Second Men B dose can be given. Catch up as needed. Td or Tdap is given 10 years after the Tdap or sooner in case of potential tetanus exposure.
