Valerie grew up on a farm outside of Emporia, KS. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas and spent 7 years as an RN in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children's Mercy Hospital. She graduated with her Masters of Nursing degree from UMKC.

 Valerie began at Pediatric Partners as a nurse practitioner in 2009. In 2013, she transitioned to the hospital setting and spent 5 years as an anesthesia nurse practitioner at both Children's Mercy Hospital and St. Louis Children's Hospital. She was thrilled to be able to come back to Pediatric Partners in late 2018. 

 Valerie has 4 children and when she is not busy coordinating their full schedules she enjoys baking, reading, and growing her indoor plant collection. Of all the jobs she's had, primary care is her favorite. She loves being able to spend time helping her patients live full and healthy lives. She is one of our nurse pratitioners who has trained to help manage mental and behavioral health medications.

Valerie has been at Pediatrics Partners since 2009. She is accepting new patients.
