Front Desk Receptionist

Our receptionists are usually the first impression patient families have to Pediatric Partners and are very important members of our team. They also help with checking patients out of the office and making sure they have their next appointment scheduled and any paperwork they need from the visit.
This position is Monday through Friday with a rotation of Saturdays. We do offer a competitive benefit package.
Front office staff must be able to answer phones, pleasantly greet patients and their families, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments and more. The job includes a significant amount of multi-tasking and successful applicants must be able to handle a fast paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance.

Job Purpose:
Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments and maintaining records. Contributes to running an efficient pediatric medical practice along with all team members.
Duties:
Helps provide office assistance in our pediatric office through:
- scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- recording and updating financial information.
- collecting and recording co-pays.
- protecting patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- welcoming patients by greeting them in person or on the telephone.
- maintaining a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following office policies and procedures.
Skills/Qualifications:
Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills (very high call volume), Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing, Professionalism, Comfort using Electronic Health Records (training will be provided for Office Practicum)
We require all staff to provide verification of appropriate immunizations as required for their position. These include Hep B, Tdap, MMR, and annual influenza vaccines. Either proof of chicken pox disease (titers) or varicella vaccination is required.
